On March 24, Yang Chuan, Deputy Party Secretary, Vice Chairman and General Manager of SIE met with Jiang Zhigang, Vice Chairman of Silk Road Planning Research Center to exchange views on exhibition cooperation, strategic research, and international exchanges, etc.

At the meeting, Yang Chuan introduced SIE, focusing on the 19th WCIF and major events to be held by SIE in 2022, and expressed that the Center, as a professional high-end think tank, is endowed with forward-looking strategic resources; SIE, as the president unit of the Convention and Exhibition Service Committee of Sichuan Provincial State-owned Enterprises Alliance for Belt and Road Cooperation, is willing to cooperate with the Center to organize relevant conferences and forums to contribute to the Belt and Road construction.

Jiang Zhigang said that the Center established in March 2016 is administered by the General Office of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and jointly initiated by China Development Bank, Tsinghua University, Silk Road Fund, CAPDF, and China Finance 40 Forum. The Center focuses on strategic research, policy proposals, talent training, and public diplomacy, etc., mainly fulfilling the functions of decision-making assistance, major project cooperation, foreign exchanges, and training research personnel, etc. Jiang Zhigang expressed that the Center hopes to expand the scope for cooperation with SIE in Belt and Road constructions for win-win development. The Center is ready to assist SIE to hold exhibitions and conferences overseas in the post-pandemic era, aiding Sichuan enterprises to go global together, and promoting pragmatic cooperation between Sichuan and countries along the Belt and Road in investment, trade and cultural exchanges.

Relevant personnel from the Investment and Operation Department and the International Cooperation Department of SIE attended the meeting.
